A brief impression of Phang Nga Bay
in the Andaman Sea and Krabi's beach Hahd Noppharat Tara (หาดนพรัตน์ธารา), as
well as Khlong Ying Seua (คลองยิงเสือ), i.e. the ‘Shot Tiger Canal’, with its
mouth that doubles as a small harbour from where local long tail fisher boats
depart and arrive and which is situated adjacent to a cliff that separates the
bays of Hahd Noppharat Tara from Hahd Ao Nang (หาดอ่าวนาง) to the south.
Recently, Pratimakam Hoi Chak Tihn (ประติมากรรมหอยชักตีน), i.e. the ‘Scallop
Sculpture’ or ‘Wing Shell Sculpture’ was erected along the beach, a monument
that represents an edible sea snail with the scientific designation
Laevistrombus canarium, and a seafood delicacy from Krabi which is found only in
the seas off Krabi and nearby provinces.
