 Subject:

1. Prince Damrong Rachanuphaap, the first Mahatthai or minister of the Ministry of Interior, who laid down its foundation work; 2. people exercising their franchise by casting votes in a democratic process, with a logo of three human arms grasping each other at the upper wrist and thus forming a triangle, with at its centre the display a ballot box, while in the background is a silhouette of the top part of the dome-shaped pedestal of the Democracy Monument (fig.), with a phaan, i.e. a bowl with a foot (fig.), holding the Book of Constitution (fig.); 3. some of the organizations attached to the Ministry of Interior, which aim at helping people in their living conditions, such as maintaining national security and territorial integrity, and relieving public danger, with illustrations of various branches of the Royal Thai Police, the Fire Brigade, which in Thai is known as kong dap phleung and until 1937 was a division of the Royal Thai Police, and soldiers of the Royal Thai Armed Forces, which in Thai are referred to as kong thap; 4. a child filling a bucket of water from a tap in a hilly location, referring to the development of the living conditions of the population in remote areas, by decentralizing various public utilities, such as roads, electricity and water, to those areas.
